Site Manager

About you
You are a Site Manager who likes to get involved from the start and set a job up properly. You take pride in organising a site so it runs smoothly from day one rather than trying to fix things later. You are comfortable running a short term programme and keeping trades aligned without overcomplicating it.

You are reliable, organised and steady under pressure. You communicate well with a Project Manager and subcontractors and you are the kind of person people listen to on site.

Your experience
You have experience working as a Site Manager on commercial fit out or interior refurbishment projects. You understand how to sequence works like flooring, partitions and decoration so the job flows properly.

You have managed subcontractors and kept projects on programme. You are familiar with light MEP coordination and know how to keep things moving without it becoming an issue.

You hold valid site certifications and are comfortable working on a freelance basis paid CIS.

What you will be doing with your experience
You will be starting a project in Wakefield from the beginning, taking control of site setup and making sure everything is in place before works begin. The job is a commercial refurbishment, converting an existing space into offices.

The programme is around seven to eight weeks with a value of around £230k. You will oversee flooring, partitions, decoration and a small amount of MEP works. Your focus will be on keeping the job organised, on schedule and finished to a good standard.

You will report into the Project Manager and run the day to day site activity through to completion.
